“Chicago P.D.” is losing yet another intelligence agent. Variety has been informed by various sources that Tracy Spiridakos, who plays Hailey Upton, will be leaving after Season 11.
How many episodes she will be in throughout the future season is uncertain.
In Season 4, Spiridakos made his debut as a recurrent character on the NBC serial. She has appeared in 127 episodes and reached the rank of series regular in Season 5. Additionally, her character has appeared in the Chicago Fire, Chicago Med, and FBI spinoffs.
The exit occurs one season after Jesse Lee Soffer, who played Jay Halstead, Upton’s husband, decided to quit the show after 10 seasons. Jay left for an Army assignment in Bolivia in Season 10 but continued to extend his tour instead of returning to his wife.
Before Spiridakos leaves there is a potential that Soffer will make a cameo appearance; he previously told Variety that the door is “definitely not” closed.
Adam Ruzek’s (Patrick Flueger) life was in danger at the end of “Chicago P.D.”‘s” tenth season; he was shot and taken to the hospital after losing a lot of blood. Because to the strikes, the premiere of Season 11 has yet to occur. Although the SAG strike is still going strong, early this month the writers were allowed to return to work. The showrunner, Gwen Sigan, is expected to return.
