International player recruitment is unique for Alabama. But in this recruiting cycle, Alabama has already signed one overseas candidate. That’s Justin Okoronkwo, a three-star linebacker for 2024. The Alabama coaching staff is also keeping a watch on Favour Edwin, a 2024 offensive tackle who was born in Nigeria. Edwin recently published his ranking of the best schools. Among the five finalists was Alabama.
Edwin is a student at McDonough, Georgia’s Eagle’s Landing Christian Academy. He plays in organised high school football for the first time.
Edwin has been targeted by the Alabama coaching staff for recruitment since the summer. He has already made several trips to Tuscaloosa. If Edwin receives OK from the coaching staff to commit before early national signing day, it will be interesting to watch.
The recruitment profile of Favour Edwin is broken down by Roll Tide Wire.
