The Federation Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) has revealed which countries and cities will host the 2026 World Cup, which should delight any football (or soccer) fans outside of America.
There will be 16 cities where the 2026 games are held. Every match will take place in North America, encompassing the three countries of Mexico, the United States, and Canada.
US cities to host FIFA World Cup games in 2026
With 11 total locations, the United States will have the most hosting cities for the games. Mexico will host three cities and Canada two. In every tournament, one nation hosts all of the World Cup matches. For the first time ever, three nations will alternate hosting responsibilities. (South Korea and Japan shared hosting duties in 2022).

- Inglewood, California: SoFi Stadium
- Santa Clara, California: Levi’s Stadium
- Miami: Hard Rock Stadium
- Atlanta: Mercedes Benz Stadium
- Foxboro, Massachusetts: Gilette Stadium
- Kansas City, Missouri: Arrowhead Stadium
- East Rutherford, New Jersey: Metlife Stadium
- Philadelphia: Lincoln Financial Field
- Dallas: AT&T Stadium
- Houston: NRG Stadium
- Seattle: Lumen Field
Canada’s Toronto and Vancouver will each host, while Mexico’s Guadalajara, Monterrey, and Mexico City will do so.
On June 11, 2026, Mexico City’s Estadio Azteca will host the opening match of the tournament. On June 12, SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles will host the first-ever US match. On June 12, there will also be a game in Canada, at BMO Field in Toronto.
On Sunday, July 19, 2026 World Cup Final will take place at New Jersey’s MetLife Stadium.
