“Any business should be able to quickly stand up an agent that can talk to your customers, provide support, and facilitate commerce.”
The new AI features will allow users to use AI to manage Facebook and Instagram ads that can start WhatsApp chats with businesses.
The company said it is testing AI-driven customer support that automatically answers customer questions about catalogs and FAQs.
The social media company is currently testing this with select retailers in India and Singapore, with expansion to Brazil planned soon.
Furthermore, Mehta stressed that AI-generated messages will be clearly labeled to ensure that customers know they are not speaking to a human representative of the company.
Moreover, WhatsApp also wants to use AI for targeted messaging to help businesses reach specific groups of customers instead of sending messages to all subscribers.
The company announced that its Ads Manager now provides recommendations for suitable audience segments that would be receptive to receiving customized messages beyond order updates.
Meta is providing the tool for free to help traders who want to avoid the additional costs associated with purchasing similar tools.
