Smart home company Eve Systems today announced the launch of a new version of Eve Weather that includes Matter support. With Matter, you can add the new Eve Weather to your HomeKit or third-party smart home setup.
Eve Weather is a small, cube-shaped accessory that shows outdoor temperature, humidity, and local 12-hour weather trends. The front display gives you an at-a-glance look at temperature and humidity, but the data also syncs with the Eve app.
HomeKit integration means you can use Siri to provide details about outdoor weather conditions, and you can use that data to trigger HomeKit automations. Eve Weather is IPX4 waterproof, so it can be stored outdoors and viewed anywhere, all year round.
Eve Weather can be purchased for $80 on the Eve website or on Amazon.com. Eve also continues to sell a “HomeKit” version of the device for those who don’t have a Matter-enabled hub, such as a HomePod or the latest Apple TV.
