Nvidia has a strong showing at CES 2023, with its event beginning on January 3, a few days before the conference officially begins. The company hasn’t said anything on its website about what might be announced, but sources say that the RTX 4070 Ti graphics card could be shown off.
The RTX 4070 Ti was originally introduced in September as the RTX 4080 12GB, in case you were unfamiliar with it. The card had 12GB of GDDR6X memory and 7,680 CUDA cores. Even though there is nothing wrong with its specifications as a standalone product, people didn’t like it when pricing and performance were compared to the RTX 4080 16GB model, which was more expensive. In addition, a lot of people thought that the card didn’t really deserve to be called an RTX 4080.
Fortunately, Nvidia seemed to have heard the public’s outcry and eventually decided to “unlaunch” the card, which was the right decision. While it didn’t give insights concerning what might befall the RTX 4080 12GB at that point, reports started to whirl that it very well may be renewed as the RTX 4070 Ti sometime in the future.
According to new reports, Nvidia will finally announce the RTX 4070 Ti during CES and that pricing might even be lower than anticipated, starting at $799 upon release. This makes it appear that the time has come.
Makes this news significantly seriously interesting that the determinations for the card sprung up quickly on the Nvidia site, with Twitter client 188号 getting a screen capture before it was pulled. As we approach the year 2023, both Nvidia and AMD have recently released new graphics cards that can be purchased. This generation’s prices appear to have stabilized for the most part, but it is still difficult to obtain the highest-end cards from Nvidia and AMD. The RTX 4070 Ti’s release date and other details have not yet been made public by Nvidia, so things could always change.
