In June of this year, Amazon Prime Lite made its debut in India. It provides a low-cost substitute for the business’s typical yearly Prime membership. With some limitations, the affordable plan has many of the same features as the regular Amazon Prime membership, including as two-day shipping and access to the Prime Video library. Notably, Prime Reading, Prime Gaming, and Amazon Music are not available with Amazon Prime Lite. The annual cost of the Amazon Prime Lite plan has now been significantly reduced in India by the online retailer.
Cost of an Amazon Prime Lite subscription in India
The Amazon Prime Lite cost Rs. 999 for a year at launch. According to a listing on Amazon’s Customer Service page, which MySmartPrice originally discovered, the annual subscription is now only Rs. 799.
The regular Amazon Prime subscription options don’t change. The monthly and three-month Prime plans are priced at Rs. 299 and Rs. 599, respectively, while the annual subscription costs Rs. 1,499.
Benefits of a Prime Lite membership with Amazon
Those with an Amazon Prime Lite membership can take use of numerous advantages that are comparable to those available to regular Prime members. They can choose between same-day or one-day delivery, as well as free two-day delivery on some items.
Like regular Prime members, Amazon Prime Lite subscribers are also eligible for free EMI choices. If you have a Prime Lite membership, you can use the Morning Delivery options for eligible addresses for Rs. 175 per item. Additionally, there is no minimum order amount to qualify for free delivery. You may also take advantage of the no-rush delivery option with the Prime Lite plan to receive a cashback of Rs. 25 on your order.
Prime Video access comes with the majority of Prime Lite limitations. Prime Lite subscribers have access to the entire Amazon Prime Video catalog, but they can only view Prime Video content at a maximum resolution of 720p on their mobile devices. Regular Prime customers are ad-free, however Prime Lite members see advertisements during live sports and TV programming.
