There have been reports that Motorola is planning to release a new flagship smartphone called the Edge X30 in China and the Edge 30 Ultra overseas. The business has previously stated that a phone powered by Qualcomm’s latest flagship chip, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, would be released soon. An photograph of the device has now been published by a company executive.
The front of the Moto Edge 30 Ultra, as shown in leaked renders, features a centred camera cutout and flat corners, according to Chen Jin, the General Manager of the Lenovo Mobile Business Group, who posted an image on the Chinese social networking platform Weibo.
The phone will have a 144Hz refresh rate and HDR10+, and it will be able to display more than a billion colours, according to another post from the Motorola account.
According to popular leaker Digital Chat Station, the screen is 6.7 inches and has a resolution of 2400 by 1080 pixels. This is an OLED panel, according to previous reports.
The Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 is expected to be paired with up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of non-expandable storage in most next Android flagships. According to reports, the Edge 30 Ultra will have a triple rear camera arrangement with a 50MP main sensor with OIS, a 50MP ultra-wide module, and a 2MP depth sensor. The front camera appears to be 60MP.
The device is said to have a 5,000mAh battery and 68W wired charging capabilities. Plastic and glass will be used to construct the body.
The Edge 30 Ultra will be launched on December 9th, and it is expected to be available in China on December 15th. The Edge 30 series will be on sale in the rest of the world in January, according to a previous report.
