To help people find solutions, ideas, and inspiration, Meta AI is growing and adding new features. Now available in 22 countries, Meta AI’s latest additions include Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Mexico, Peru, and Cameroon. It can be accessed on WhatsApp, Instagram, Messenger, and Facebook in new languages: French, German, Hindi, Hindi-Romanized Script, Italian, Portuguese, and Spanish, with more languages to follow.
Across these platforms, Meta AI helps people accomplish tasks more efficiently, spark creativity, and enhance knowledge. It assists with how-to tasks, answers questions, and offers inspiration and guidance. The AI is updated every two weeks based on user feedback, continually introducing new features to improve the user experience.
One such feature, “Imagine Me,” allows users to create personalized images using prompts. Available in beta in the US, this tool generates images based on a photo and a prompt, such as “Imagine me surfing” or “Imagine me as royalty.” Users can then share these images with friends and family, providing entertainment and fun interactions in group chats.
Meta AI also includes new creative editing capabilities, allowing users to add, remove, or change objects within images. For example, you could change “a cat snorkeling in a goldfish bowl” to “a corgi” by simply instructing the AI. An “Edit with AI” button will be added soon to further fine-tune images.
Users can create AI-generated images directly within Facebook posts, stories, comments, and messages across Meta’s platforms, starting this week in English and expanding to more languages soon.
Meta AI’s advanced model, Llama 405B, is now available on WhatsApp and meta.ai. It offers improved reasoning for complex questions, particularly in math and coding. Users can receive step-by-step explanations for math problems, coding support, and expert instruction on technical topics. This model can help users create games or other projects quickly, incorporating both coding expertise and image generation.
Meta AI is also being integrated into Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses and will roll out on Meta Quest in the US and Canada in experimental mode. It will replace Voice Commands on Quest, enabling hands-free control, real-time information updates, and assistance with everyday questions. Users can also utilize Meta AI in Passthrough mode to interact with their physical surroundings, like asking for outfit advice or local restaurant recommendations.
