Vivo is getting ready to introduce its S18 premium mid-range series smartphones to the Chinese market on December 14. That day is anticipated to see the debut of three devices: the Vivo S18, Vivo S18e, and Vivo S18 Pro.
The Vivo S18 smartphone has two color variants that have been revealed ahead of launch. The same flower-like pattern on the back that was revealed in the previously rumored color possibilities is present in the new color options, which are black and grey. These are the anticipated S18 series specifications.
Specifications of the Vivo S18 and S18 Pro
It is expected that the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 CPU, which offers strong performance, would power the Vivo S18. On the other hand, a more powerful Dimensity 9200 Plus chipset is anticipated for the S18 Pro, which could improve its processing capabilities. There are rumors that both versions come in a range of colors, such as Huaxia Red, Black, Purple, and Sea Green.
In terms of optics, the S18 Pro is rumored to have a remarkable 50-megapixel front camera with twin soft LED flash, guaranteeing beautiful selfies. A 50-megapixel primary camera (Sony IMX920), a 50-megapixel ultra-wide camera (Samsung JN1), and a 12-megapixel portrait camera (Sony IMX663) are rumored to be on the back of the device. The Blue Heart AI model, which has six billion parameters, is expected to be included in both phones. This would improve portrait photography and add a number of AI capabilities.
It is believed that the display of the S18 regular and the Pro model would include a curved-edge OLED panel, which could offer a more immersive visual experience. It is anticipated that the display would have a fluid refresh rate of 120 Hz, guaranteeing easy device engagement. It is expected that both phones will be able to support 80W charging. Reports, however, indicate that the Pro model might come with an even quicker 100W charging option.
The Vivo S18e will have an OIS-enabled dual-camera configuration with an Aura LED flash, as well as a flat display and a circular camera module. The corresponding photo points to the existence of a 4,800mAh battery that can be charged at 80W. Notably, the device has a thin profile (7.69 mm) and will come in Cloud Gauze White, Glow Purple, and Starry Night Black color options.
