The Itel P55 and Itel P55+, the Chinese smartphone brand’s newest entry-level models, were introduced in India on Thursday, February 8. Users can access notification and facial unlock functions fast with the new phones’ iPhone-like Dynamic Bar. With a maximum storage capacity of 256GB, the Unisoc T606 SoC powers the Itel P55 and Itel P55+. Similar to the most recent Itel phones, the Itel P55 series supports Memory Fusion, which allows you to increase the onboard memory by using storage that isn’t being used. They have 5,000mAh battery units supporting them. 45W rapid charging is supported for the Itel P55+.

The 12GB RAM (virtual RAM included) + 128GB storage variant of the Itel P55 costs Rs. 7,999. Aurora Blue, Moonlit Black, and Brilliant Gold are the available color options. In contrast, the Itel P55+ costs Rs. 9,499 for the 16GB RAM (virtual RAM included) + 256GB storage model. Meteor Black and Royal Green are the available colors. Specs for Itel P55 and Itel P55+
Running on Android 13, the dual-SIM (Nano) Itel P55 and P55+ have a 6.6-inch HD+ (720 x 1,640 pixels) display with a refresh rate of 90 Hz. The selfie camera is mounted in a hole-punch cutout in the screen. The Dynamic Bar function, which enables fast access to face unlock, background calls, battery notifications, and other features, is supported by the display.
As previously reported, the Unisoc T606 SoC, which has eight cores, powers the Itel P55 series. The onboard RAM in the newest smartphones can be almost increased for better performance thanks to Memory Fusion technology. The Itel P55+ has 256GB of internal storage and 16GB of RAM, including virtual memory. On the other hand, the Itel P55 comes with 128GB of basic storage and comes with 12GB and 24GB of RAM (including virtual memory) options.
The Itel P55 and Itel P55+ include a 50-megapixel dual rear camera configuration with AI support for both images and videos. Both devices have an 8-megapixel front-facing camera for taking selfies and making video calls. The Itel P55+ has a fingerprint sensor for biometric authentication and a face unlock capability. The devices have Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, 4G, an audio jack, and a USB Type-C connection for connectivity.
Itel has included 5,000mAh battery components with the Itel P55 and P55+. While the latter supports 45W fast charging, the former only supports 18W fast charging. It is stated that the battery can reach 70% capacity with the 45W quick charging technology in under 30 minutes. The Plus model has three charging modes: AI-based smart, low temperature charging, and hypercharge.
