Vikrant Massey has worked in the cinema, television, and over-the-top (OTT) industries for about 20 years. Following a string of outstanding roles, including the sleeper hit 12th Fail, the 37-year-old actor has declared his retirement. Vikrant, who was last seen in The Sabarmati Report, has recently received praise for his roles in Sector 36, 12th Fail, and The Sabarmati Report. In his note, he stated that after starring in two more movies, he will be leaving his acting career.
Vikrant Massey posted the following message on Instagram: “Hello, The last few years and beyond have been phenomenal. I thank each and every one of you for your indelible support. But as I move forward, I realise it’s time to recalibrate and go back home. As a Husband, Father & a Son. And also as an Actor. So coming 2025, we would meet each other for one last time.Until time deems right. Last 2 movies and many a years of memories. Thank you again. For everything and everything in between. Forever indebted!”
This announcement from Vikrant has left his fans quite shocked. One of the fans wrote, “I hope it’s not true,” and another one commented, “Why would you that…? There are hardly any actors like you. We need some good cinema.” A third fan expressed, “Please don’t do this…I relate your Broken but Beautiful so much with my life..now seeing this post I feel…Elina left Samsang will leave and now Veer is also leaving me with those memories.” One of the users also said, “You’re my fav actor, you’re so phenomenal your eyes when you act that’s so expressive… we will wait for you to come back soon.” Many have wished him well and told him to return stronger.
Regarding his career, Vikrant is now working on two movies: Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan and Yaar Jigri. After being well-known for his role in Balika Vadhu, Vikrant’s career graph took another dramatic turn with his 12th failure. As he hangs up his boots, fans have also expressed how much they value the incredible work he has done.
