“Indiana Jones and the Great Circle” has received an Xbox release date and will be coming to the PlayStation 5 next year. Xbox announced on Tuesday at video game trade show gamescom that the game, made by Bethesda Game Studios, will be released on December 9 for the Xbox Series by Bethesda's parent company Microsoft. The PS5 version of the game marks a significant change from Microsoft Gaming CEO Phil Spencer's remarks from February, indicating that Xbox will now be releasing some of its exclusive games on rival platforms. This includes "Indiana Jones and the Great Circle." "Indiana Jones and the Great Circle" will be available on launch day through Xbox's Game Pass subscription service, or up to three days in advance by pre-ordering the Premium Edition, Premium Edition Upgrade, or Collector's Edition. According to Microsoft's description of the game, "From MachineGames, in collaboration with Lucasfilm Games, set between the events of ‘Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark’ and ‘Indiana Jones and the The Last Crusade,’ ‘Indiana Jones and the Great Circle’ immerses players in an all-new single-player, narrative driven adventure. Blending cinematic set-pieces, puzzle-solving, and hand-to-hand combat, players will embark on an authentic Indiana Jones™ experience around the world to try and defeat the sinister forces working against them. Additionally, Xbox revealed that "The Order of the Giants," the downloadable DLC for "Indiana Jones and the Great Circle," will be available later after the game launches. Acquiring the Premium, Premium Upgrade, and Collector's Edition will grant access to the DLC.
