Persona 4 Arena fans can finally look forward to something in the near future after years of waiting. Persona 4 Arena Ultimax will be released on PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC, according to Atlus, at The Game Awards 2021. At the end of the brief reveal video, the scheduled release date for all platforms was shown to be March 17, 2022. Ultimax will be updated to the AC Version 2.50 patch for the first time on console, according to the Japanese YouTube clip. Previously, this fighting game spin-off was only available in arcades and was never released on the PlayStation 3 or Xbox 360. Unfortunately, neither the English nor the Japanese P4U websites appear to have confirmed if the remaster would utilise rollback netcode for online netplay or if it will remain with the original delay-based netcode. With the recent news of rollback upgrades for BlazBlue: Central Fiction and BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle for next year, it's hard to picture Arc System Works not pushing for it in Persona as well, but we'll have to wait for official confirmation any way. All of the previous DLC for the console versions will be included in this new re-release, including all of the additional colours, navigation voices, music, glasses, icons, and DLC characters. When Persona 4 Arena Ultimax is released, it will cost $30 USD, and there is now a pre-order bundle on Steam for $38.48 that includes the fighting game and Persona 4 Golden.
