Star bowler Jasprit Bumrah of India gave tidbits from his encounter with Prime Minister Modi. He uploaded photos of the unusual exchange to his social media accounts. Sanjana Ganesan, Bumrah’s spouse and the ICC broadcaster for the 2024 T20 World Cup, was also in attendance. Modi posed with Bumrah, Sanjana, and their son Angad Bumrah in a touching moment. As they posed together for the picture, PM Modi playedfully cradled the young kid in his hands.

Thanking the Prime Minister for inviting the team to his home, Virat Kohli expressed that it was an immense privilege to have met him. During the breakfast meeting, Virat Kohli also posted a picture of himself shaking hands with the prime minister. As they posed for photos, Rishabh Pant and PM Modi also shared hugs. Rahul Dravid and the captain Rohit Sharma held the trophy in a picture that PM Modi took with the whole Indian team.
