In the second episode of Season 8 of Koffee with Karan, Sunny Deol discussed the conflict between OMG 2 (starring Akshay Kumar) and his big-budget movie Gadar 2. Before the release of their movies, Sunny claimed to have spoken with Akshay and asked him to reschedule OMG 2 in order to prevent their films from competing at the box office. But Akshay Kumar informed him there was nothing he could do to stop the oncoming clash.
Sunny wanted to avoid competing with Akshay at the box office
In addition to congratulating Sunny Deol on Gadar 2’s success, host-director Karan Johar questioned him about OMG 2, which is out on August 11 of the same year as Gadar 2. “Alright, my movie is coming out, and I haven’t had a hit in years,” Sunny stated. In addition, I didn’t want anyone else to support it. However, nobody can be stopped. It does, therefore, clearly hurt you. I wondered, though, if it really mattered. Let’s comply with that. In the end, both movies had success.
Sunny replied on Koffee With Karan, “Obviously, I asked him,” in response to the question of whether he spoke with Akshay about the argument before to the film’s release. “Please don’t do it if it’s in your hands,” I asked. ‘No, the studio and everything,’ he responded. They also stated that two movies could be out at the same time. “All right, go ahead.” I am limited to making requests; I am unable to take further action.
