Antibody qualification extended to Oregonians 70 or more Monday

Oregonians 70 and older will be qualified to get the COVID-19 antibody beginning Monday.

“We’re working non-stop to distribute the vaccine to all Oregon seniors, but nationwide shortages mean this will take time,” Gov. Kate Brown said in a Tweet Sunday.

Oregon Health Authority authorities disclosed to KOIN 6 News that one shipment of 67,000 Moderna immunization dosages didn’t show up due to storms in different parts of the country.

The CDC has not yet given a timeline to when those missing dosages will at long last show up, authorities said.

Oregon is in Phase 1B of its antibody distribution plan. Childcare suppliers and teachers were the first to be qualified under this phase. Individuals 70 and older are essential for Group 4. Group 5, which incorporates individuals 65 and older will be qualified beginning March 5.

Oregon antibody supply is restricted, which implies it might take until April to everybody in immunization groups 1-5, Oregon health authorities said.
