Apple’s long-awaited app for listening to classical music with an Apple Music subscription, Apple Music Classical, is now available for download from the App Store.
Apple Music Classical was born from Primephonic, which Apple acquired in 2021 with the intention of launching a classical music-focused app in 2022,
Over five million classical music tracks, including brand-new, high-quality releases, are available to Apple Music and Apple One subscribers in the new Apple Music Classical app. Other features include composer biographies and in-depth analyses of significant works.
The app has a simpler user interface for classical music interactions. Apple Music Classical, in contrast to the current Apple Music app, lets users search by composer, work, conductor, catalog number, and other criteria. Editorial notes and descriptions provide users with more in-depth information.
Apple Music Classical will only be compatible with iOS devices that are running iOS 15.4 or later; however, the company claims that there will soon be an Android version of the app. This month, Apple made the app available for pre-order.
Apple claims that you can listen to music at up to 192 kHz/24 bit lossless in the app’s catalog, which contains more than 5 million tracks. The app, on the other hand, comes with a few limitations. Classical is not available to Apple Music Voice Plan customers. Furthermore, at send off, there won’t be a local iPad variant and you will not have the option to download music to pay attention to disconnected.
English, German, Spanish, French, Italian, Brazilian Portuguese, and Dutch are currently available in the app. Pay attention to the fact that the app is not available in China, Japan, Korea, Russia, Taiwan, or Turkey.
