As a brand ambassador, State Bank of India has appointed MS Dhoni

The biggest commercial bank in the nation, State Bank of India (SBI), has partnered with cricket player Mahendra Singh Dhoni and designated Dhoni as their official “Brand Ambassador.”

MS Dhoni will be the focus of the bank’s numerous marketing and promotional campaigns in his role as SBI’s brand ambassador.

“His remarkable capacity to maintain composure in stressful situations and his renowned ability for clear thinking and rapid decision-making under duress makes him the ideal choice that resonates with SBI, to connect with its customers and stakeholders across the country,” the firm stated in its press release.

SBI Chairman Mr. Dinesh Khara highlighted his excitement about the partnership by saying, “We are happy to welcome MS Dhoni to the SBI brand as a brand ambassador. Since Mr. Dhoni is a happy customer of SBI, he perfectly represents the values of our brand. Through this partnership, we hope to further solidify our resolve to provide honest, trustworthy, and steadfast service to both the country and our clients.”

A few days ago, Dhoni disclosed at a Bengaluru event that he had a premonition that he would announce his retirement from international cricket during his final match for Team India in the 2019 ICC Men’s ODI World Cup semifinal.

This past month, Reliance Industries Limited recruited the former captain of Indian cricket to serve as JioMart’s brand ambassador. Dhoni joins a list of businesses and goods that includes Oreo, India Cements, Dream11, and Reebok in 2023 by adding SBI to his impressive history of brand sponsorships.

The amount of house loans held by State Bank of India has now exceeded ₹6.53 lakh crore. In June 2023, SBI reported advances of over ₹33 lakh crore, a CASA (Current Account Savings Account) ratio of 42.88%, and a deposit base over ₹45.31 lakh crore. In addition, the bank holds a 19.5% market share in auto loans and a 33.4% market share in housing loans.
