Following Thursday’s success over the Miami Marlins, the Atlanta Braves optioned left-hander Tucker Davidson back to the other training site. Davidson was called up on Wednesday when Max Fried was put on the injured list to give the group another multi-inning alleviation option out of the bullpen.
Davidson didn’t get into a game during this stint with the major league club. He made one beginning toward the finish of last season permitting three hits and two acquired runs in only 1 2/3 innings.
The Braves have not yet declared a comparing list move yet will require a starter to take Fried’s beginning on Sunday. Atlanta will start a five-game road trip on Friday with a three-game series at Wrigley Field against the Cubs. From that point they will travel to New York where they will take on the Yankees.
