The lineup for the NBA 2K25 Summer League 2024, which will be held July 12–22 at the Thomas & Mack Center and Cox Pavilion on the University of Nevada, Las Vegas campus, was revealed by the Boston Celtics today.
On Saturday, July 13, the Celtics’ Summer League season begins against the Miami Heat at 6:30 p.m. ET/3:30 p.m. PT on NBA TV. The starting lineup for NBA 2K25 Summer League 2024 features forward Jordan Walsh, center Neemias Queta, forward Drew Peterson, and returning Celtics guard JD Davison. D.J. MacLeay, the assistant coach for the Boston Celtics, will lead the squad in its Summer League contest.
Walsh, in his second season with the Celtics, averaged 16.0 points, 4.2 rebounds and 1.6 assists in five summer league games prior to his rookie year in 2023, making his second summer league appearance. Boston’s 2024 NBA draft picks, guard Baylor Scheierman (30th overall) and forward Anton Watson (54th overall), will make their professional debut in a Celtics uniform.
Each team will play at least five games, including four from July 12-19. After each team’s first four games, the top four teams will qualify for the playoffs, which will begin with a semifinal doubleheader on Sunday, July 21 at 2:00 PM ET and 4:00 PM ET. The two winners of the semifinals will meet in the finals on Monday, July 22 at 9:00 PM ET on ESPN. The four playoff teams will be determined based on winning percentages of each team’s first four games. Tiebreaker criteria can be found here. The 26 teams that do not advance to the four-team playoff will play a fifth game on Saturday, July 20 or Sunday, July 21.
