Chinese EV Maker Zeekr Starts Big Expansion Into Six European Countries

Zeekr is one of the most elegant, advanced and modern electric car manufacturers in the world. Although the brand is owned by Chinese auto giant Geely Automobile, Zeekr has always seemed like a brand focused on conquering the European market. Don’t forget that Geely also owns Volvo Cars and Polestar. We also have the Lynk & Co brand, which is very popular in major European markets. In fact, Geely CEO and President An Conghui recently said that Europe is Geely’s “second home.” Now is the time for Zeekr to make it happen.

Technically, Zeekr started shipping to Europe (Netherlands) at the end of 2023, but this will actually be the year Zeekr makes a big push into the European market. According to a recent announcement at the China EV100 Forum in Beijing, Zeekr will be available in six European countries by the end of 2024. Zeekr’s main target markets in Europe include the aforementioned Netherlands, Germany, France, Norway, Denmark, and Sweden.

However, Zeekr is not only suitable for China and Europe. According to An Conghui, Zeekr vehicles will be sold in 38 markets in Southeast Asia and the Middle East by the end of 2024.

Another part of the recent speech included mention of Geely Automobile’s broader goals as a leader in electric vehicles.
