Wish early screening dates were revealed by Walt Disney Animation Studios on Thursday. Fans will be able to see the upcoming musical comedy a few days ahead of schedule thanks to this initiative.
November 18, 2023, has been confirmed as the day of the Wish early screenings. Four days ahead of schedule, on November 22, the movie will open in certain locations. Early access screening tickets may be purchased on Fandango’s website right now. Disney claims that the screenings will take place in about 750 theatres.
As the film commemorates 100 years of storytelling, “Getting to make this movie has meant the world to all of us at Disney Animation, as it celebrates 100 years of storytelling,” said Jennifer Lee, chief creative officer of Disney Animation (writer and executive producer of “Frozen,” “Frozen 2”). “We are so grateful to the fans who’ve shown up to the theaters time and again—to be able to give moviegoers a chance to experience it early is a wish come true for every person in our studio who helped bring ‘Wish’ to life.”
What is Wish about?
The plot of the movie is described as follows: “Wish is an all-new story is set in the magical kingdom of Rosas, where Asha, an optimist with a sharp wit and a deep caring for her community, turns to the sky in a moment of need, and makes a wish.” “Asha’s plea is answered by a cosmic force, a little ball of boundless energy, Star. Together, they will face the most formidable of foes to save her community and prove that when the will of one courageous human connects with the magic of the stars — wondrous things can happen.”
Chris Buck (of the Frozen movies) and Fawn Veerasunthorn (of Raya and the Last Dragon) are directing it, and Jennifer Lee and Allison Moore wrote the screenplay. Ariana DeBose as Asha, Chris Pine as Magnifico, and Alan Tudyk as Valentino, Asha’s favourite goat, will all be lending their voices to the movie.
Peter Del Vecho (Frozen) and Juan Pablo Reyes (Encanto) produce the movie, with Lee serving as executive producer. Along with a score by composer Dave Metzger, it includes original songs by Grammy-winning producer/songwriter/musician Benjamin Rice and Grammy-nominated singer/songwriter Julia Michaels.
