Disney announced on Wednesday that the upcoming Rosario Dawson-starring Star Wars Disney Plus series Ahsoka will premiere on August 23. In the past, all we knew was that the show was going to start sometime in that month.
According to Disney’s official description of the show, “Set after the fall of the Empire, Ahsoka follows the former Jedi knight Ahsoka Tano as she investigates an emerging threat to a vulnerable galaxy.” Ahsoka previously showed up in the 2008 Clone Wars film and featured in The Clone Wars energized series. Additionally, Dawson played her in the second season of The Mandalorian and in The Book of Boba Fett.
Natasha Liu Bordizzo, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Lars Mikkelsen, Ray Stevenson, Ivanna Sakhno, and Diana Lee Inosanto are also in the cast of Ahsoka. After a successful run of Star Wars shows recently, the series premieres; Andor was great, and keeping in mind that The Mandalorian’s third season got going a little unpleasant, the finale was very great. In April, Disney put out a teaser trailer for the show.
