E3 2021 coordinators affirm the all-digital event will be ‘100% free’

Subsequent to avoiding 2020 for clear reasons, E3 is as yet scheduled to return this June as some sort of all-digital event. Without insights concerning what’s in store and numerous bits of hearsay about industry cooperation, a report surfaced asserting that a few elements of the show would be set behind a paywall, with GeForce Now-powered streaming demos.

In a tweet, the ESA said “E3’s 2021 digital show is a free event for all attendees,” and confirmed in a follow-up statement that “there will be no elements at E3 2021 that will be behind a paywall.”

Regardless of whether that represents a change in plans, a narrowing of extension subsequent to researching different methodologies or something different completely we don’t know, yet we’ll need to hold on to discover precisely what the current year’s show will resemble.
