Evangeline Lilly an Marvel star fulfills wish to leave Hollywood by Praising God

Evangeline Lilly said goodbye to Hollywood, fulfilling a prophecy she first revealed over two decades prior.

In an Instagram post, the “Lost” actress said she’s “filled with joy” about her choice to give up acting.

Lilly uploaded video from almost two decades ago in which she talked about having “dreams below (what appears like) a full moon”)” and described her goals for the next ten years.

“I am so filled with joy and contentment today as I live out my vision,” the “Ant-Man” actor said as a caption for the video. Thank you so much for all of my blessings, God be praised.

“Although it can occasionally feel scary to stray from what appears to be the obvious path—wealth and fame—stepping into your dharma brings fulfillment in place of the nervousness. I may come back to Hollywood in the future, but for now, here is my home. The new season has begun, and I’m excited and ready for it.

Lilly was shown in the film picturing her future self while standing on the beach. “Where would I wish to be in ten years? In ten years, I would like to be a retired actress, though I am afraid to say this to the rest of the performing community,” she stated.

“I would like to have a family, and I’d like to be writing and potentially, um, you know, maybe influencing people’s lives in more humanitarian way as almost everybody in the world now knows was my intention before I started the show.”

The majority of us develop a comfortable self-concept and stick to it, don’t we? You don’t,” remarked Nicholson. “Why not?”

“Well, I know that we’re all in process, and as nice as this seat is and this roomis and how nice it is to be with you and have some relatives in the background, respectful and gracious directors and producers and floor managers around – this too will change,” replied Angelou. “This will change. I am aware of that. This can never stay the same.

“I am aware that I didn’t come to stay here. Just like I didn’t come to London to stay, I didn’t come to this globe to stay. I’m working on it. I therefore always try my most, and I wish you farewell. I’m gone, even if I gnash my teeth, wring my hands, and cry.”

Lilly has considered permanently quitting Hollywood in the past. After her time on “Lost,” director Peter Jackson had to tempt her to reprise her role as Tauriel in “The Hobbit.”

“I chose to go work on the film after making a decision. One of the delights of my life was spending that year living in New Zealand and being a part of that family. I had a great time making that movie,” Lilly said to The Hollywood Reporter.

“That helped, opened my eyes to the fact that, OK, this job can be a joy, it’s just a matter of how you approach it, and what you do with it, how much I put myself out there, and to a certain degree, how much I work.”
