In the quarter-liter class, Kawasaki is going to introduce the W230, a new retro bike. This motorcycle is a pure vintage model, much like the other W series models in the Japanese manufacturer’s collection. A close-up of it is seen here.
With its straightforward design, the W230 boasts features like a circular LED headlight, twin analog consoles with a digital insert, and an abundance of chrome accents on the handlebar, peashooter exhaust, headlight bezel, and other parts.
It has a two-tone seat cover and an all-over black line on the fuel tank in addition to a base coat of white paint. The Kawasaki W230 is given a true vintage appearance, and even the spoke wheels are chromed.
There is no information available on the output of the 233cc single-cylinder engine that powers the Kawasaki W230. A six-speed gearbox will be installed.
Along with dual rear shocks and a front and rear disc with dual-channel ABS, it is equipped with gaitered telescopic front forks. The spoke wheel arrangement for these is 18 inches up front and 17 inches back.
Looking for something a little more traditional? The Kawasaki W230 is a charm-looking bike that would suit a somewhat older crowd. The Royal Enfield Hunter 350 and Classic 350 had strong sales in India, a market with a sizable consumer base. The hefty asking price of Kawasaki bikes, however, is well-known. Take W175 Street as an illustration. Along with hardware that is of questionable quality and the most basic functions, it costs Rs. 1.35 lakh.
That being said, Kawasaki India would need to charge a premium for the W230 if it intends to sell it in India, as the Royal Enfield twins and the Honda Hness 350 are just a few of the well-known brands that compete in this market.
