FIFA announced on Sunday that the 2026 FIFA World Cup will conclude with a match played at New Jersey’s MetLife Stadium. The tournament will take place over three countries and feature 104 matches in total.
Canada, Mexico, and the United States will host the competition.
FIFA announced that the first game will take place on June 11, 2026, at Mexico City’s Estadio Azteca. This iconic stadium will hold its first-ever three World Cups.
There will be 48 teams competing in the World Cup, up from the previous 32 nations.
The group stage matches involving the United States will take place in various locations along the West Coast, including Los Angeles and Seattle.
Atlanta, Dallas, Houston, Miami, Boston, and Philadelphia are among the other American cities that are hosting matches.
On July 19, 2026, in New Jersey, the World Cup final will take place.
