First posted on Consequence, the article Guy Fieri Signs New $100 Million Deal with Food Network.
Flavortown’s mayor, Guy Fieri, is still in office. The TV personality and famous chef has agreed to a new three-year, $100 million contract with Food Network.
The conditions of the new agreement, which will honour Fieri’s 20 years as a Food Network celebrity, call for the continuous production of his shows Tournament of Champions, Guy’s Grocery Games, Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives. As per Variety, he will receive $20 million more than his last multi-year contract that he signed in 2021, making him the highest-paid artist on the Food Network roster with the $100 million grand total.
“For nearly two decades, Food Network has been my home and continuing to create great TV within the Warner Bros. Discovery universe is exactly where I want to be,” Fieri said in a statement. “Food is our most universal language so being able to unite people through highlighting chefs, restaurateurs, and the folks dishing out incredible meals all over this country and world is a privilege and responsibility that I don’t take lightly.”
Fieri’s production firm, Knuckle Sandwich, is also expected to carry on “developing and producing projects” for Food Network, according to the agreement. When discussing their partnership, CEO of Warner Bros. Discovery Kathleen Finch gave credit to Fieri’s loyal fan base and distinct production approach as factors in his continued success.
“One of the reasons we’re bullish about our television networks is because of the power of incredible talents like Guy,” Finch said. “In addition to being a star on Food Network, Guy is a global phenomenon with millions of fans throughout the world and he’s an incredibly creative content producer as well. We’re thrilled to extend our long-standing partnership with Guy and to continue to entertain his legions of fans.”
As a competitor on The Next Food Network Star, Fieri made his Food Network debut in 2006. Thanks to his programmes like Guy’s Big Bite, Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives, Guy’s Grocery Games, Guy’s Family Road Trip, and more, he has likely become the most well-liked host on the network in the years after.
As a music enthusiast and concertgoer, Fieri has developed a reputation in recent years. She has been noticed in the crowds at events with Nickelback, Slipknot, and Rage Against the Machine.
Jack White attacked Fieri in July of this year for refusing to “normalizing” Donald Trump following their sighting together at a UFC event in Las Vegas.
