On Friday, Elon Musk’s social media platform X—previously known as Twitter—unveiled two new subscription tiers, one of which is Premium+, for those who are ready to pay to access the platform without advertisements.
According to a post made by the company on the platform, the Premium+ plan, which costs roughly $16 a month, has all of the tools and services that the platform offers, except for the advertisements.
It stated that for the time being, those who are accessing the platform via a web browser will be able to utilise it.
The $3 monthly fee for the basic tier includes advertisements.
In an effort to make the platform an all-in-one app, X also intends to integrate audio and video calling for some consumers.
Musk has been looking into a number of ways to heavily monetize the social media network that he purchased in October 2022 for $44 billion.
