The prequel video game to the Harry Potter series, Hogwarts Legacy, has experienced yet another delay, according to a message from the game’s official Twitter account.
Due to this postponement, the game’s 2022 release date will now be on February 10, 2023. Developer Portkey Games explained the reason for the delay in January of last year, saying it was to give the game “the time it needs.” That notion is echoed in the developers’ statement from today, which again claims that the game need more time.
Anyway, in unrelated news, they’ve heard Two Point Campus is actually rather impressive. The Sims 4 expansion High School Years was also released recently (which was accompanied by a fairly robust and inclusive sexuality update.) Oh! If you want a little more fantasy and action in your video game from your school days, there’s also The Sims 4: Realm of Magic expansion pack and Fire Emblem: Three Houses. In these games, you can even transform into a dragon! I’ll throw in Persona 5 Royal while we’re at it because it’s great and it definitely counts as a school sim.
If putting money in the pockets of an anti-trans misogynist who occasionally moonlights as an author hellbent on tanking the last 20 years of goodwill her books have earned leaves a bad taste in your mouth, there is absolutely no reason to include some games that’ll scratch the “video game set in a school” itch.
Nope, simply no cause.
