Neil Young and Crazy Horse are touring for the first time in 10 years.
But that’s not all that awaits us. With the reunion of Young and the rock band, a new nine-song album will be released on April 26th, with a limited pre-release on vinyl on April 20th, Record Store Day.
The Love Earth Tour, hosted by Live Nation, begins with a series of his two-day shows at San Diego’s Calcoast His Credit Union Open Air Theater on April 24th and 25th, then includes stops in New York Tours major cities in North America. City, Chicago, Toronto, and other cities in Arizona, Texas, and Tennessee.
According to report, Young and Crazy Horse played several shows in Central California in 2018 and several shows in Canada in early 2019. Both had planned extensive tours in 2020 before the pandemic began, but Young didn’t want to expose people to the coronavirus by embarking on a national tour.
After a solo tour in the summer of 2023, Young reunited the band for a Roxy 50th anniversary show in Los Angeles and played a short private show in Toronto last November as a birthday celebration. In 2021, Young and Crazy Horse teamed up for their latest album, Burn, which shares Young’s views on climate change, America’s cultural divide, and the controversial approach to combating the COVID-19 pandemic.
Another collaboration with Crazy Horse, “Toast”, followed his year of “Barn”.
