The fifth installment in the Mad Max film series was released in theaters in May, but is now available to stream at home.
Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga in 4K Ultra HD is available to buy on Prime Video, Apple TV, and other video-on-demand platforms for $29.99, or to rent online for $24.99.
As for the film itself, Variety film critic Owen Gleiberman praised its “dazzling sequences.” In his review, he wrote: “Miller creates a volatile world to wander around in, and I suspect a number of viewers and critics will respond fully to that.”
The remaining four films in the series, “Mad Max,” “Mad Max 2: The Road Warrior,” “Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome,” and “Mad Max: Fury Road,” are all available for streaming on Max.
Directed by George Miller, “Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga” follows Emperor Furiosa Giabbassa (Anya Taylor-Joy) as she journeys across the wasteland from the Green Place to the Citadel, where she rises through the ranks and defeats the tyrant Dementus (Chris Hemsworth), and Immortan faces off against Joe (Lachy Hulme).
The film also stars Tom Burke, Alyla Browne, George Shevtsov, Lacie Hulme, John Howard, Angus Sampson, Charlie Fraser, Elsa Pataky, Nathan Jones and Josh Helman.
Furiosa: The Mad Max Saga will be available on Prime Video or Apple TV on Tuesday, June 25th at 12am ET or Monday, June 24th at 9pm PT. You can buy it for $29.99 or rent it online for $24.99. In the meantime, check out the trailer for the action prequel below:
