A Chennai-based company has adopted an innovative approach to enhance its employees’ productivity by offering a unique reward system. Team Detailing Solutions, a structural steel design and detailing company, recently gifted 28 cars and 29 bikes to its employees as a gesture of appreciation for their dedication and hard work. The vehicles included a range of new models from brands like Hyundai, Tata, Maruti Suzuki, and Mercedes Benz. According to company officials, this initiative reflects their recognition of the vital role employees play in the company’s success.
Sridhar Kannan, the Managing Director of the firm, explained that this gesture was a way to acknowledge the relentless efforts of the workforce. He emphasized the belief that the employees are the company’s most valuable assets and that such rewards not only honor their contributions but also serve as a testament to their exceptional performance and loyalty. Kannan highlighted that the decision to gift the vehicles was based on individual performance and years of service. He noted that many employees come from modest backgrounds, making the idea of owning a car or bike a distant dream for them.
Previously, the company had gifted bikes to its employees, and in 2022, they awarded cars to two senior staff members. This year, the decision was expanded to a larger number of employees, with cars ranging from affordable models to luxury brands. The employees who wished for higher-end vehicles could opt to pay the difference if they preferred a model beyond the company’s set ceiling amount.
In addition to these rewards, the company offers financial assistance for employees’ weddings, with the amount increased from ₹50,000 to ₹1 lakh this year. Kannan expressed confidence that these initiatives would boost morale and further motivate the workforce, ultimately contributing to increased productivity. He reiterated the company’s commitment to both employee growth and customer satisfaction, pledging to continue supporting their team in meaningful ways.
