The last day of June 2024 is rapidly approaching. It’s the ideal opportunity for Maruti Suzuki, the biggest automaker in India, to launch alluring promotions on their high-end Nexa cars and clear some of their inventory backlog. This also addresses the low sales of certain Nexa automobiles, such as the Jimny lifestyle SUV.
There are no savings offered on the company’s flagship Invicto premium MPV, which is a rebadged Toyota Innova Hycross. Like in prior months, a few older models, such as the Ciaz and Ignis, receive slight discounts. The Nexa cars on this list are eligible for attractive discounts in June 2024.
Maruti Grand Vitara: Compared to Jimny, the Grand Vitara, the company’s small SUV, has a far higher sales potential. But in order to compete with the Hyundai Creta, the market leader, and clear out its inventory, Maruti Suzuki has had to provide a sizable discount in order to increase sales. Grand Vitara had previously benefited from up to Rs 74,000 in benefits. comprising an extended warranty for three years, valued at around Rs 38,000.
Strong hybrid customers will now receive discounts of up to Rs 1.4 lakh thanks to Maruti’s increase in the discount margin. Base Sigma receives an increase of Rs 20,000 to Rs 34,000, while mild hybrid versions of Alpha and Zeta receive discounts of Rs 64,000. Benefits for CNG versions can reach Rs 14,000 or more.
Maruti Suzuki XL6: Based on the Ertiga, the best-selling MPV in India, the XL6 competes with competing luxury MPVs such as the Mahindra Marazzo and Kia Carens. Maruti has raised the discounts on the XL6 for petrol-only versions by up to Rs 15,000 for the month of June 2024, bringing the total benefits to Rs 40,000. The discounts for CNG versions are Rs 25,000, which is a little less.
Maruti Suzuki Fronx: Fronx receives fewer benefits than the big boys, who receive larger discounts. Maruti just introduced Velocity Edition, available in all trim levels, pushing the limits of Fronx sales. Furthermore, Maruti has added an additional Rs 20,000 in discounts and bonuses to Fronx, bringing the total for Turbo variants to Rs 77,000. CNG versions can earn up to Rs 12,000 and NA petrol variants up to Rs 32,500.
Maruti Jimny SUV: The most perks and savings are available with Jimny lifestyle SUV, by far. Given its slow sales pace (274 units sold in May 2024), it makes sense as well. Maruti Suzuki reduced pricing by much to Rs 2 lakh (Ex-sh) late last year and gave away a Rs 25,000 style package with the Jimny Thunder Edition. We assume, to empty MY23 inventory.
Benefits totaling Rs 50,000 have been consistent for all variations since the start of 2024. Maruti increased the discounts on the top-spec Alpha trim by up to Rs 1 lakh at the furthest end of June 2024, bringing the total benefits to Rs 1.5 lakh. But the Zeta trim still comes with advantages worth Rs 50,000.
