The second season of Disney+/Marvel Studios’ Loki was supposed to premiere on Friday, Oct. 6, but instead, the streamer is following a new rule out from its Ahsoka playbook and releasing episodes throughout primetime. The season’s first episode of Loki will air on Thursday, October 5, at 6 PM PST, and all future installments will follow on Thursday at the same time.
The new featurette, “The Amazing Loki,” by actors Tom Hiddleston, Ke Huy Quan, Sophia Di Martino, and EP Kevin R. Wright, explores what it means to be Loki this season.
After the startling season finale, Loki finds himself engaged in a struggle for the Time Variance Authority’s soul as the second season begins. Loki travels through an ever-expanding and perilous the universe in quest of Sylvie, Judge Renslayer, Miss Minutes, and the reality of what it is to have free will and a noble purpose with the help of Mobius, Hunter B-15, and a group of new and returning characters.
Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Wunmi Mosaku, Rafael Casal, Eugene Cordero, Tara Strong, Kate Dickie, Liz Carr, Neil Ellice, Jonathan Majors, and Owen Wilson are also featured in Loki season 2.
