Marvel Studios released the first teaser trailer for Thunderbolts on Monday ahead of its May 2, 2025 theatrical release.
According to IMBD, the next film centres on a group of reformed supervillains who are chosen to carry out missions for the American government. The “Thunderbolts” cast includes actors Wyatt Russell, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Sebastian Stan, Florence Pugh, David Harbour, and Hannah John-Kamen.
Jake Schreier, who previously directed six episodes of the Emmy-winning television series “Beef,” the movie “Paper Towns,” and “Robot & Frank,” is directing this one as well.
The trailer begins with Pugh’s character Yelena Belova meeting David Harbour’s character Alexei Shostakov. Pugh asks Harbour, “Do you feel fulfilled?” to which Harbour responds, “Why do you ask that? What brought you here?”
A voiceover of Pugh is then heard saying, “There is something wrong with me…An emptiness…I’m just drifting…And I don’t have a purpose.”
The final three-minute trailer depicts the lives of all the members of the Thunderbolt, including characters played by Sebastian Stan, Wyatt Russell and Hannah John-Kamen. The members eventually come together and the action ensues.
