The 2022 Video Music Awards nominees have been made public by MTV.
With seven nominations apiece, Jack Harlow, Kendrick Lamar, and Lil Nas X are in first place, followed by Doja Cat and Harry Styles with six each. Billie Eilish, Drake, Dua Lipa, Ed Sheeran, Taylor Swift, and The Weeknd are among the other performers up for awards this year.
22 gender-neutral categories, including video of the year, artist of the year, best collaboration, and two brand-new categories—best longform video and best metaverse performance—let fans vote for their favourite artists.
On Sunday, August 28 at 8 p.m. ET/PT, the 2022 VMAs will be broadcast live from the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey.
