As is tradition with Nintendo video games, another Switch exclusive has been leaked online ahead of its official release date. This time, it’s The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom, where unofficial gameplay has been leaked onto the internet, drawing criticism from Nintendo and spoilers among fans.
Last week, reports emerged that Echoes of Wisdom, set for release on September 26, had been leaked online and that ROMs had been shared on private networks. Now, Nintendo of America is actively removing YouTube videos that contain copyright infringement.
The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom – …
Redditor 43eyes discovered a video on YouTube of someone starting Echoes of Wisdom on a Switch and moving around the game world for a few seconds. The footage was apparently first published on 4chan. The YouTube video is now unavailable, replaced with the message “This video is no longer available due to a copyright claim by Nintendo of America Inc.”
At this time, the video does not appear to exist. Significant gameplay from Echoes of Wisdom has been leaked, but it’s probably worth preparing for spoilers over the next 10 days.
In Echoes of Wisdom, Zelda, rather than Link, stars, battling enemies and solving puzzles using a cool echo mechanic. Check out IGN’s Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom preview for more details.
