The 40-minute fall Direct showcase, which will focus on games coming out this winter, will be broadcast on September 14 at 7 a.m. PDT/10 a.m. ET, Nintendo revealed today.
Super Mario Bros. Wonder Direct from Nintendo earlier this month prompted speculation that a larger, more general Direct might follow. When Nintendo Switch was listed as one of the game’s platforms on the Gotham Knights ESRB rating website, those rumours gained momentum.
Additionally, rumours spread that Nintendo had filed a patent for redesigned Joy-Cons that would try to fix the stick drift issues with the present controller. The fact that multiple developers have asserted to have seen a Switch 2 in the public and that developer kits have already been issued, however, is the largest Nintendo rumour currently circulating.
So there is a good likelihood that Nintendo will finally stop the speculation by revealing the Switch 2 tomorrow. Or not. With them, you can never be sure.
