Now available in China are the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 powered iQOO 12 and iQOO 12 Pro. In addition to the new flagship CPU, these devices have better design, modern hardware, and OriginOS, an OS based on Android 14. The brand has officially stated that the iQOO 12 will go on sale in India on December 12.
The business is referring to the iQOO 12 and iQOO 12 Pro as “Future eSports flagships” because they both include 6.78-inch curved E7 AMOLED screens with 2K resolution and 144Hz refresh rates, as well as a huge vapor chamber. While the base models of both smartphones start at 12 GB RAM and 256 GB of internal storage, the higher-end models offer up to 16 GB RAM and 1 TB of internal storage. The earpiece on these phones also functions as the secondary speaker in a stereo speaker arrangement.
These devices share the same triple camera system on the back: a 64 MP telephoto lens with support for up to 100x digital zoom, a 50 MP ultra-wide angle lens, and a 50 MP wide-angle lens with 3x optical zoom. Additionally, there is a 16 MP selfie camera on the front that can shoot videos in 1080p resolution.
Additionally, there is a dual SIM card slot that supports two 5G networks. Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4 wireless communication are supported by both phones.
The iQOO 12 Pro features a slightly larger 5,100 mAh battery that supports both 50W wireless and 120W wired charging, compared to the iQOO 12’s 5,000 mAh battery that supports 120W fast charging. Even though this is a flagship smartphone, USB 2.0 is the maximum data transmission speed on the USB-C connector.
The 12 GB RAM and 256 GB storage option of the iQOO 12 base model costs 3,999 Yuan, or roughly Rs 45,700, in China. Similar to this, the iQOO 12 Pro’s base model costs 4,999 Yuan, or roughly Rs 57,150.
