To ensure that you don’t see those humiliating old images that you thought were removed, Apple has finally released a remedy.
A few small upgrades have been released by Apple for iOS 17 and iPadOS 17. The significant issue that caused iPhone users to see previously deleted images has been fixed by Apple’s most recent update.
This update is primarily being provided to solve a bug that was reported to cause deleted images to come back following the release of iOS 17.5 last week. The problem brought to light by customers who reported that after downloading the iOS 17.5 update, their previously deleted and old images began to resurface in their gallery.
As far back as 2010, some of these pictures that have appeared again were removed. As a result, the users were greatly confused and unable to figure out what was wrong. Apple has acknowledged that it was a database corruption issue, as reported by MacRumors, and iOS 17.5.1 has been specifically created to address it.
Despite the fact that Apple fixed the bug with the latest update, some users are still unsure about if this implies Apple maintains our deleted images. The company’s release note includes an explanation of what actually happened, according to a report by 9to5Mac. “This update addresses a rare issue where photos that experienced database corruption could reappear in the Photos library even after they were deleted,” according to Apple, and it also includes crucial bug fixes.
The internet giant is obviously embarrassed because it always promotes how much it values user privacy and it doesn’t look good to see deleted images of its consumers. In order to ensure that the picture library records of deletions are correct and that the previously deleted photographs do not come back, the brand is working to remedy the photo bug by fixing the database handling processes.
