Even though the Galaxy S23 series will be released a week from now, we know very little about it. Since Samsung has not been able to stop the leaks, almost all of the specifications for the Galaxy S23 have been leaked over the past few months. We also learned today that Samsung’s upcoming high-end phones will feature improved video quality.
According to a tip from Ice Universe, the portrait video quality on the Galaxy S23 Ultra will be significantly improved. The tip says that the next flagship smartphone from the South Korean company can record portrait videos at 4K and 30 frames per second. That’s a lot better than the Galaxy S22 Ultra’s 30 frames per second 1080p videos. The Galaxy S23 series can also record videos at 8K 30 frames per second, whereas the Galaxy S22 can only do so at 3K 24 frames per second.
In the portrait video mode of the Galaxy S23 Ultra, according to the rumor, Samsung has enhanced background separation and background blur quality. It is still unknown whether all of these enhancements are exclusive to the Galaxy S23 Ultra or whether they also apply to other models in the lineup that offer improved portrait videos.
The Galaxy S23 Ultra also has a good heat management system, according to the tipter, for relatively good sustained performance. The “Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 Mobile Platform For Galaxy” will be the name given to an overclocked version of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor found in each and every Galaxy S23, S23+, and S23 Ultra unit sold worldwide.
The Galaxy S23 can be reserved in advance for up to $100 in in-store credit.
