The Houston Texans are stacking up on quarterbacks this offseason, and now have added previous 49ers quarterback Jeff Driskel to their profound QB list.
Driskel, 28, was chosen in the 6th round of the 2016 draft by the 49ers, yet didn’t make the club out of camp. He was gathered up by the Bengals where he began five games in 2018, going 1-4 while throwing six scores and just two captures.
The Lions were his next stop. He began three games for them and lost them all prior to moving onto the Broncos last season where he lost his solitary beginning.
San Francisco likely isn’t too troubled over letting the previous Louisiana Tech star move away. He’s 1-8 as a starter with a 58.6 percent culmination rate, 13 scores and eight capture attempts for his profession.
While he wasn’t successful with the 49ers, Driskel spearheaded a touch of uniform design for San Francisco. He wore his sleeves cut so that the stripes on the sleeve were all even as opposed to tightening into the cut. It was progressive stuff from the 6th round pick.
Presently he’ll get an opportunity in Houston to contend with Tyrod Taylor, Davis Mills and Ryan Finley if Deshaun Watson ends up missing the season.
