Following Capcom’s announcement of a November 28 Dragon’s Dogma 2 showcase webcast, there appears to be a leak regarding the game’s release date.
Dragon’s Dogma 2, scheduled for release on March 22, 2024 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and S, and PC, has been listed by the European video game ratings body PEGI.
The current financial year of Capcom, which concludes on March 31, 2024, makes that release date reasonable. Before the end of the reporting period, the company might desire to see the much awaited RPG have a significant positive impact on its financial results.
The Dragon’s Dogma 2 release date is expected to be revealed at the showcase on November 28, which is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m. Pacific, 4 p.m. Eastern, and 9 p.m. UK. The showcase is expected to run approximately 15 minutes.
“Set forth on your grand adventure, Arisen! Get the latest info on this action-RPG designed to place player choice at the heart of the gameplay experience,” reads the post. “Join director Hideaki Itsuno and producer Yoshiaki Hirabayashi as they present all the latest info and gameplay in this approximately 15 minute showcase.”
The first Dragon’s Dogma was released back in 2012, so fans of the franchise were eager for a sequel, even though Dragon’s Dogma 2 didn’t get a trailer until May. Other than that, Capcom hasn’t revealed much about Dragon’s Dogma 2, but it did say that the game’s map is four times larger than the original.
In our preview of the game, according to report: “Dragon’s Dogma 2 will offer up more of what we loved about that first game, and many of those minor elements have been improved upon. We couldn’t help but wish we walked away a little more excited about something new in the sequel, though.”
