Reena Dutta’s father has passed away and Aamir Khan visits her and offers her condolences

Reena Dutta’s father sadly passed away on Wednesday, and her former husband, Aamir Khan, along with his mother, Zeenat Hussain, visited to pay their respects. Aamir Khan was seen visiting Reena’s residence in Mumbai, and he appeared visibly moved as he left the building after offering his condolences. A video captured the actor departing from the premises, showing him getting into his car and briefly acknowledging the paparazzi outside before driving away. His mother, Zeenat Hussain, was also spotted accompanying him during the visit.

Reena and Aamir, who live in the same residential complex, were married in 1986 but separated in 2002 after 16 years together. The former couple shares two children, Ira and Junaid. Ira has ventured into theatre direction, while Junaid is pursuing an acting career, following in his father’s footsteps. Despite their separation, Aamir and Reena have remained on amicable terms, maintaining a cordial relationship for the sake of their family.

In a 1999 interview with Simi Garewal, Aamir reflected on his early relationship with Reena and how her parents had initially been upset with their romance. He revealed that he and Reena had decided to elope when he was in his early twenties and Reena was still in her teens. The decision, Aamir explained, wasn’t driven by rebellion or disrespect but rather insecurity, stemming from their young love.

Aamir married filmmaker Kiran Rao after his divorce with Reena. The two announced their separation in 2021 but continue to share a strong bond. In a conversation with Rhea Chakraborty on her podcast, Aamir candidly spoke about his relationships with both of his ex-wives, emphasizing the close-knit connection they maintain. He described them as being “like one family” and spoke about his need for companionship, admitting that he doesn’t enjoy living alone. Aamir shared that while the unpredictability of life makes it difficult to rely on anything, the success of marriages ultimately varies from person to person.
