Taylor Swift would love to see Taylor Fritz compete on America’s biggest tennis stage.
Swift attended the U.S. Open men’s final on Sunday afternoon, apparently as part of a double date with her boyfriend, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce. Kelce’s teammate Patrick Mahomes and his wife Brittany Mahomes were also there with the couple to watch Fritz take on Italian star Jannik Sinner in the championship game.
After the Chiefs played their first game of the NFL regular season on Thursday, Mahomes and Kelce were able to watch the game in Queens, New York. The Chiefs defeated the Baltimore Ravens 27-20 in the presence of Swift and Brittany Mahomes.
For Sunday’s tennis match, Kelce donned a bucket hat and a Gucci shirt that featured his now-trademark mustache. Swift wore a red-and-white checked dress to the Grand Slam tournament.
Alongside Swift and Kelce, Mahomes each wore sunglasses to cheer on as two of the world’s best tennis pros battled for the top spot. Brittany appeared to play against Travis in a similar Gucci outfit.
Matthew McConaughey also attended the event with an American flag bandana and curls tucked into his forehead.
Fritz reached the final on Friday by beating fellow American Francis Tiafoe in five sets.
Sinner beat his semifinal opponent Jack Draper in three sets.
