Tesla Postpones Robotaxi Launch: What You Need to Know

According to news agencies, Telsa is pushing back the introduction of its robotaxi until October.

According to Bloomberg, which cites people familiar with the decision, CEO Elon Musk originally announced the date in August. However, it has since been postponed as the design team was instructed to redesign some aspects of the vehicle.

Reports state that information about the delay was shared internally.

Tesla reportedly canceled its plans to produce a new entry-level Model 2 vehicle earlier this year. Reuters reports that instead, it stated that it will keep working on robotaxis on the small vehicle platform.

Musk has not disclosed many details about Tesla’s robotaxis, with the exception of the date of the ambitious August launch.

According to Reuters, he has previously stated that while some cars will be owned and run by Tesla, others would be privately owned and rented out on the company’s network.

The original author and publisher of “Tesla delays robotaxi launch – reports” was Just Auto, a brand owned by GlobalData.
