Every year, the holiday season brings a flood of new films for everyone.
Family-friendly films, drama, humour, and even horror are among the choices this year.
Additionally, with Christmas fast approaching, holiday-themed goods are starting to appear.
Here’s a look at this year’s Thanksgiving movies, which include streaming and theatrical releases, small films and high-profile releases.
“Encanto”
“Encanto,” a Disney animated musical adventure, tells the storey of a little girl’s wonderful family.
“It’s about this extraordinary family, the Madrigals, who live in the mountains of Columbia and everybody in the family has these special powers except for Mirabel,” Fandango Managing Editor Erik Davis told Fox News. “But then soon, they realize that Mirabel may hold the key to protecting that power.”
The film stars Stephanie Beatriz from “Brooklyn Nine-Nine,” and the storey was written by Lin-Manuel Miranda, who also composed the film’s original soundtrack.
While “Encanto” will be shown in theatres on November 24, it will only have a limited theatrical run before being released on Disney+ on December 24.
The film will be released in theatres on November 24th.
Stephanie Beatriz, John Leguizamo, Wilmer Valderrama, Diane Guerrero, Alan Tudyk, Olga Merediz, and others are among the cast members.

“The Humans”
The Humans follows a disintegrating family during their difficult Thanksgiving celebration in New York, and is based on the one-act play of the same name.
“It’s about three generations of family who come together in a cramped Chinatown apartment in New York City to celebrate Thanksgiving,” Davis said. “The picture is rich in nuance… extremely unsettling and, in the end, very affecting.”
“The Humans,” written and directed by Tony winner Stephen Karam, who also wrote the original play, includes a tiny but formidable cast, featuring comedian Amy Schumer in a rare serious turn.
The film will be released in theatres on November 24 and will also air on Showtime.
The film will be released on November 24th.
Beanie Feldstein, Steven Yeun, Amy Schumer, Richard Jenkins, June Squibb, and Jayne Houdyshell are among the cast members.

“House of Gucci”
“House of Gucci,” one of the year’s most anticipated films, will chronicle the true storey of fashion pioneer Guccio Gucci’s grandson Maurizio and his wife Patrizia Reggiani’s marriage falling apart.
Davis said, “Really fantastic ensemble but it is Lady Gaga and Jared Leto who have the most transformative performances in this film.” Gaga plays Reggiani, while Leto represents Paolo Gucci, another member of the illustrious Gucci family.
“It is about primarily the marriage between Maurizio Gucci and Patrizia Reggiani, complete with all its ups and downs and suspicious betrayal and ultimately murder,” Davis explained.
“House of Gucci” is expected to be a significant award contender this year, with Gaga and Leto among the favourites to receive Oscar nominations for their roles in the film.
The film will be released on November 24th.
Lady Gaga, Jared Leto, Adam Driver, Al Pacino, Salma Hayek, and Jeremy Irons are among the cast members.

“Bruised”
With Netflix’s “Bruised,” Halle Berry makes her directorial debut.
“She plays a former MMA fighter who’s fallen on hard times,” Davis said of Berry’s character. “But when the son that she had given up returns into her life, it inspires her to fight for one last chance at redemption.”
“Bruised,” like “House of Gucci,” has landed on some awards radars, with many fans eager to see if Berry can deliver another Oscar-worthy performance in front of or behind the camera.
Netflix will be the only place to watch “Bruised.”
