Apple reportedly has a competitive advantage when it comes to the debut of foldable products because of its established client base and market effect. In addition, according to the TrendForce analysis, Apple’s entry into the foldable industry might “significantly shift market dynamics.”
According to a 9To5Mac report from earlier this year, Apple has transferred some of the engineers that were working on the Vision Pro headset to the development of foldable iPhones and iPads. Additionally, it said that screen samples for a potential foldable iPhone prototype model had been sent by Samsung and LG, Apple’s South Korean display makers. According to reports, the display samples were between 7 and 8 inches in size, which raises the possibility that Apple is developing a foldable smartphone in the form of a book with an open display that resembles an iPad mini.
According to a recent MacRumor rumor, Apple plans to introduce a foldable iPad or MacBook with a huge screen before releasing a folding iPhone. Apple analyst Ming Chi Kuo, who stated in March that Apple’s foldable MacBook with a larger screen is the only foldable device with a proper development plan, adds additional support to this.
